browse the help & tips long enough and you'll see that very topic.
like the mobile authenticator in the beginning.
As it stands right now, you get a confirmation telling you the name of the game you ALREADY successfully activated to your account. It should give you a chance to recognize and cancel the activation process once it detects the game.
nope. when you reach that step it is permanently bound to your account and no one can do anything about it.
Nope. makes it too easy for people guessing keys to keep trying strings until they get a hit.
How is this any different from the current situation? I could start guessing right now based on the existing system. There's only something like 504,857,282,956,046,106,624+ possible combinations...
The only difference I can see is that if you correctly guess a key you can cancel, record the number, and resell it without having it bound to a throwaway account you are using to guess product keys.
there is a cooldown after about 45 keys entered. brute forcing a key would take more time than you have left on this planet.
Thanks for clearing that up
So if brute forcing would take such a long time, why not have the system show me what title I'm about to redeem? Or, maybe, let me see the key that was used in game details?
There have been multiple users coming together to show that ~45 is where the limit is on adding keys. Invalid or duplicate keys count against it.
Now we're talking! Finally, a real solution to the problem. Thanks for the link
