Same for all the people who got locked out of their accounts because their email accounts they never bothered to update were no longer there or were accessible anymore to receive the steamguard codes.
You'd be surprised how very wrong you are on that regard...
Please steam, Stop bugging me with questions aimed at ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Its really beginning to annoy me every time I open steam.
IMHO this process should be:
"Is this still your current email address? ....."
Yes > Close, and go away for minimum 3 months. No stupid double opt-in style confirmation required. I said YES, so believe me.
No, Update > Go through the update email process.
If "Yes" retains the current behaviour, then the missing option is
Yes, and don't ask again >> Close, and quite literally NEVER ask again. (Perhaps for the lifetime of that Steam installation)
Perhaps also limit this to people with 2FA, and require a steam guard code to triple confirm the fact I never want to be asked again.
If I change email address, there is an easy way in the profile to do this without needing a popup to prompt me to do so.
It's not going away, nor will they allow you to choose to disable it. It's the idiots who'll do bulk of the disabling, thinking they'll remember to manually change their e-mail when necessary, and then don't.
im not sure why the op is getting so man.
Maybe you (like me) as an individual are not an idiot, but systems are made for people, not individuals. And people are majorly dumb, lazy and unreliable. That's why the system works the way it does.
