Push to talk not working in game, but auto works
My steam voice chat does not work in game. It'll only work in game if I set it to "auto" pick up my voice. However, push to talk works just fine if I can pull up the steam over lay, or if I'm not in a game at all. Any help on fixing my push to talk option would be appreciated

Thanks,
Mozer

Perhaps you're using the same button for push to talk in-game as you are when out of game.
in-game pick a different button for your push-to-talk.

bind 'p' '+voicerecord'
in the console (assuming this is a Valve game with a console)

Oh sorry forgot to mention that. I've tried binding it to different keys and it still doesn't work. I've only tested two games (one steam game and one none steam game) and the problem persists. I have a feeling it has something to do with full screen applications? Like I said it suddenly works if I tab out of the game I'm playing (if it's a non steam game), or if I pull up the overlay. (two games I've tested so far are Dawn of war II, via steam, and star wars the old republic. If that helps at all or matters).

Thank you for the input though. Like I said I'm at a wall with this problem at the moment.
