Hidden:source mod

I found a really fun, really cool looking source mod and i downloaded and installed it, and when i restarted my steam and went to my library and tried to run it by double clicking the game tab it didnt run. then i tried right clicking it and clicking launch and that didnt really help either. how would i get this mod to work, because another source mod i had, portal prelude, ran perfectly after downloading and installing.

What's the sourcemod's name?

You did put the Sourcemod in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods right?
alternatively C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\sourcemods if 32-bit OS (default. installation.)

You might also have to download Source SDK Base 2006 & 2007 under [Library] -> [Tools] for some Sourcemods to work.

Edit 2: I've downloaded Hidden: Source Beta 4b earlier, it seems to work. I'm not sure are we speaking of same versions, but here's where I downloaded it from: http://www.moddb.com/mods/hidden-source/downloads

It's the 4th option in that list.

well the mod automatically went to the sourcemod folder. and i had another source mod that ran fine. the name of the sourcemod's name is Hidden:source

Try downloading the SDK Bases, hopefully this will resolve your issue.

If not, you might consider removing the mod manually and re-downloading from the source I provided.

ok where can i find the SDK Bases download?

You should find them on the Steam client under [Library] -> [Tools]
By default it shows All Games. Click that and a dropdown menu should open.
