steam is not running. you must start steam in order to play this game
When i want play l4d2 i have this error. i I was looking for anwser about this but only thing i found was: deletre the steam folder and install the games again so i did it but l4d2 still won't work. how to resolve this?

I have the same problem. I've at least figured out that rather than the whole, or most of the folder, I just have to delete the folder called "steam" I think it was and some other one I thought would also be likely to be updated every time. It's clearly got something to do with a file Steam keeps updating every time it is restarted. Annoying as yell. ANYONE?! Please help!!
