Grand Theft Auto: IV and GTA:EFLC CDKEY Problems [FIXED] 11/8/12

I'm not a Steam employee. Just a regular Steam customer. I have found the fix to the CDKEY problem to both Grand Theft Auto Four and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City. This is only for when you have to log in to Windows Live Games to verify the code and it keeps telling you it's the wrong key. That key is only a redeem code. Now here is a small tutorial on how to fix this.

1. Get that Redeem code and go to ( https://live.xbox.com/en-US/RedeemCode?xr=socialmenav ) or you can just go to Xbox.com and click Redeem Code. Paste your code in there.
You will get a message saying Code has been redeemed.
----Great, now you have access to the REAL activation code for the game----

2. Now open up your start menu on your computer and click search. Now Search for Games for Windows Market place. A lot of people probably have never heard about this program but it should come installed already on your PC (I'm sure about Windows 8 but not other Operating Systems lower). It will probably ask you to update it, just go ahead and follow up.

3. After that's done, log in. Click Downloads and you will see either game or both games in there. Now all you have to do is click on it.

4. After clicking it you will see something that says 'View Game Keys'. Click that and you will get the official activation code for your game. Copy it.

5. Open up your game (GTA/GTA:EFLC) and when it asks you to log in, go ahead. After that it will ask you for the code, just go ahead and paste it on there.

Game will be validated and you can now log in and save your game with no issue.

I found out how to do this by searching up numerous places and I am now sharing with all of you. Hope this helps. I know it's very frustrating. If you still don't know how to do this, feel free to send me a message and I will try to help you as detailed as possible. Good luck to all of you.

I think your code hasn't been updated in the Microsoft side. I'm not really sure, since the codes are being given out a day or two late. Best advice I have is wait it out for a day or two and try again. Don't bother contacting Steam. They're worthless.

Well my Code didn't work either for Xboxlive.com nor in the In-Game GFWL. I had a chat with an Xboxlive supporter and he checked my Code and said that it's valid. But i still get the same massage as Allucard gets. The supporter told my problem to a higher supporter. I gues i have to wait a few days until i can activate EFLC and for my GTA IV Key.

many brazilians like me bought GTA IV and expansions and is having I guess 2 Problems.. 1 with CD KEY servers connection and another about GFWL CDKEY .. steam is giving CD-KEYS for brazilians and people from other countrys that probably are not working because the codes are are like "US ONLY".. I'm just guessing that

Yeah, they are US code, need to create an new US xbox live profile, marketplace whatever, but if i do that i need to add fake address, and i don't want a new microsoft account. I don't think this is the real legal way... i bought the game give me correct cd key, or don't sale if i not eligible for this, thats all. ( from Hungary )

If i want to register a new GFWL account, i cant change my country ( cuz my ip is hungarian and don't works in europe gfwl the EFLC code what steam gives) but i logged in my old hotmail account, and set a US detail, after all i logged on with my hotmail account to GFWL, reedem code - set an US country for billing address, and same address like in hotmail. Activated my EFLC, and same way the GTA IV vanilla. Now works, with new codes from marketplace and multiplayer too. Hiliraous way.....
