Can't log out
May sound weird, but Steam isn't letting me log out or change users. When ever I try, it pops up a page saying "One or more steam applications are currently running. To exit steam, you must first shut down all steam applications." How do I do this?

Open task manager and go to the tab processes. If you played a Valve game then there should a hl2.exe. remove this. If not the it could be anything else. Like gtav.exe or skyrim.exe. Whatever it is. If you find that game then delete the process you are all set to logout.

Note: This only happens if a game didn't close correctly or got stuck.. Well most of the times.
