Dirt 2 activation problem
I bought the key to the game Dirt 2 Why can not I activate it on steam? Activation error shows up and I can not download games

Is it a Steam key or is it a game to activate the game when you want to play it? Some keys aren't used for Steam but just to activate the game itself outside of Steam.

The key to the game was removed from the original game box. The game was bought from a reputable shop in Poland.

If you got the box. Can you check the backside of it? If the key is redeemable on Steam then it should have a Steam logo on it.

And is the activation error about already been used or about it saying that you maybe didn't spell it correclty?

If the game wasnt purchased via steam, you can't activate the key for Dirt2 on Steam.

You would need to install it directly on your computer. if you do not have the cd key then you cannot install the game and would need to contact the shop you purchased it from.

I do not have the box. I bought the same code. I know that this game runs on Windows Live system. hmmm ...

If it is a Window Live game then you should install the game outside Steam, Start it and then login your Windows Live acount (or create one) and activate the code there.

Even if you get the game on Steam there isn't a difference since you gotte activate your Windows Live key too on the Steam version.

The only thing you gotte do is get the game installed on your computer and then activate the key

DIRT2 is not a game that will activate via a retail cd-key. You didn't buy it in Steam so you cannot add it to your library.

DIRT2 uses GFWL. The code you have is for GFWL not for Steam.
