Rage doesn't work on very crappy computers and occasionally AMD cards. The problem is very much on your end. You can run Skyrim at 9000 frames per second and still face problems with rage because of drivers. It really is that simple.
Even so, I'm going now anyway as I have work in less than 7 hours and could do with some sleep. Hopefully by then you'll have calmed down and started to act your age. The way you act here makes me doubt you have any years experience in the electronics industry.
WIN XP Pro SP3 DK.
And this is just the one i am writeing on, and my main game PC.
Not the best, but good,
You need at least GT 630 GDDR5 and that's just the minimum to run rage. Like I said, you have a crappy computer.
I have asked you MULTIPLE times
1) What games are you having problems with
and more specifically
2) WHAT ARE THE PROBLEMS YOU HAVE
You have simply listed a few games and say 'they dont' work'. Which as others have noted even with your 30 years of 'experience' is utterly worthless for troubleshooting.
If you want RAGE troubleshooting you should visit the RAGE forums. But as I have indicated RAGE has A LOT of problems. All of which have ZERO to do with Steam. Steam does NOT do support for 3rd party games. If you have an issue with a game contact id Software or Bethedsa for support
Not it is a big fuss ignoring it, but later when barbie enters steam. It may be a good idea.
Counter strike is not an indie game.
"all indie games work you just might not meet the specs thats reqiured" -. Are you serious? Even a commandor can play these games.
"as an indie game developer, I hate gamers like you..." - Well why should I be bothered with what you think, I got my preferences.
Btw when I play games like indie, I just go on my browser-> /random games site -> Play
Sorry to burst your bubble, bro, but Valve is an independent company.
Three pages of rant, to get some basic specs and 'They don't run' diagnose.
The point mostly of the thread is that any game taste is personal. YOu may not like indie games but others do. Some people like FPS games. Others do not. Some like Paradox style Excel spreadsheet games. Others do not. Any 'filter' would be entirely arbitrary and counter productive. Steam is a store. It sells things. Filtering games out is meaningless from that perspective. I would prefer if all thse 'concrete knee wall grey/brown colour simulators' would be filtered. Does that make any more sense than yours?
And what exactly would you accomplish? Is the implication that all indie games are 'bad'. Certainly some are. But so are many AAA titles. You're falsely attributing uniquely to a particular genre that applies to all genres.
Personal taste is many times filtered either you like it or not. If somoene likes indie games, ofc they could click the red button. I would go for the blue. Counter productive against what? I am going thru the store, why should I not have a ban this developer button? what is wrong with that? there is alot of different solution. Yes the simulator games could be removed if I did filter it, cuz that would do the deed. I am struggeling to see why this feuture should NOT be implemented. It is a upgrade, with an alternative for the people who wanna use it.
I would accomplish a store without ads poping up for me to buy or sale on this 2D indie crap. Yes "indie"games for me and some other are bad, cuz they dont bring enough into the table, I dont like it is the term. Maybe one golden one.
This steam store does really getting new indie games all time, it is rather irriating.
I would like to have ... Therefore I suggest it and try to hear any suggestin how to do it also. Not that I have the formula.
cheers
BTW, OP wouldn't have had Portal without an Indie game called Narbacular Drop, for example.
