What is Steamplay?
I was wondering. Do steamplay games not require a second account to play them? Or is it something else, and a difference between each game where you have to make second accounts?

It means you can play the game on both Windows and Mac. You don't have to buy separate builds for each platform.

Can you play Steamplay games on Linux as well? Yes or no?

Steamplay are games that are heavily integrated into Steam and can not be played without Steam. Like the friends system, server browser, cloud, workshop and other community features.

But they aren't guaranteed to work on Linux yet. Steamplay still only means that there's a Mac and a Windows build, not that there's a Linux one too.

That's Steamworks.

So how do you know if there is a Linux variant on a steamplay game?

Look for the TUX icon.

Click on the Linux button. It's basically here: http://store.steampowered.com/browse/linux/

NOTE: Not all of them are Steamplay. As I've said, Steamplay only means that there's a PC and a Mac build, not a PC, Mac, & Linux build or even a PC & Linux build.

Will a Mac steamplay key from a retailer work on a windows install?
