How to connect wired xbox 360 controller to mac?
I purchased a wired Afterglow AX1 to play Castle Crashers on my Mac. I'm having a lot of trouble getting my laptop to recognize it. Any suggestions?

Make sure you follow the directions carefully. Type "sudo sh " and then drag it in. Notice there is a space after sh.

No, no you don't have to do any of that!!! Buy the app Joystick Mapper on you macbook, it costs $5, but so worth it!!! It's easy and fast to use! Don't waste time doing that sudo sh stuff!

Tattie won't work, I've already got that installed on my wife's macbook pro. L4D2 and big picture mode work, but Castle Crashers won't. My understanding is that a Microsoft made wired 360 controller will work, though I haven't tested myself (thinking of buying a wired one soon). I noticed the Joystick Mapper, but it really gets under my skin that something so basic to gaming as a controller hasn't ever been a standard part of mac (and that they have the gall to charge you to use such a feature, at that...). I mean, c'mon, Linux drivers for the 360 have been in the kernel in some form for several iterations, and not even having basic gamepad support is ridiculous to me. If/when I get the Microsoft controller itself I'll try to remember to post my outcome.
