counter strike 1.6 fps probem

Hey, came to search for help. So my problem is that i cant play cs 1.6 with out getting fps drop, my pc specifications: intel pentium dual core 2.66 hz, 3gb ram, geforce 630 gt 2gb 128 bit. So first of all when i go to play, i got to disable one of the core's, because i get bigger fps drop, than playing with one core. Maybe someone knows how to deal with this situation and could help me? :)

I'm just a Novice but Don't worry too much About FPS, Server rules As far as i know you might find yourself running Ahead of the game and be counter productive just make sure your rate match the server Hmm what FPS do you got any wayz?

normaly its 99, but sometimes ir drops till 50 or so :) u are right about productive, but it annoys me :D

try this in game:
cl_cmdrate 101
cl_updaterate 101
fps_max 101
rate 25000

if this doesn't help maybe is from server that you play or who know...
