gearbox games "shift" code

I have borderlands goty and borderlands2 (with season pass) ...so figured ok sign up to gearbox "shift" after all it is supposed to give you extra content right? ....so after sighn up it asks for a "code" (24 digit) which aparrently steam is suppling ........ would it not be a great idea to maybe show said code ? or even give a hint as to how we could attain it? ........ two large companies ...you would think ONE of them would have thought that issue through ..........or am I the "lucky one" here?

When you sign up for shift it gives you one for free. After that you can get codes via online promotions

it is not that I doubt your info ..........just simply that there is no "gold key" or code .........and no way to find it .........thanks for the reply tho :)

When you go into the Shift code menu do you see a message saying 'welcome to shift you get a free key'?

To get the Golden Key (that's what you get for signing up with shift and BL2) you have to link your steam acc to it from in game. The code isn't needed for that, I'd guess they'll give those out at future promotions etc.

So - if you made the shift account in your web browser, open it up, unlink from steam, then go start up BL2 and go to the "extras" menu and sign in from there (same login details are fine, don't have to make another).

lol re loaded after I was last on and they are indeed now there ............previously to that there was no mention that it was there ........or showing in game .....went back on and ......there it was !! .....thanks and you are indeed correct .....it is however worth mentioning that it seems there could be a delay ........for me at least ....but got it now so all good :) ....best wishes

thanks for the reply and this may very well help others :) ......mine seemed to be a delay ......made no changes and it appeared after I had re loaded .....thanks for your reply though and best wishes

It's not really really obvious but go into Inveontry. Go to the BADASS tab. Lower left there's a TINY TINY icon that looks like a key. Shows how many golden keys you have left.

It took me a long time to find out where the hell that was too.

Note DO NOT OPEN the chests until much later as the items generated depend on yoru existign level. Save the keys for 'near end game'

Note 2K does some tiwtter facebook style promos with golden key giveaways. So its good to stay on top of those in case something pops up

lol I actually had NO idea that was there !!! .......very useful tip !! ......had the first bl from release ....still got it but it is a mod toy these days :) .....hope to play along side you sometime :) ....best wishes :)
