Dishonored - not available for purchase in this country

Hello everyone this is my first interaction with steam so I know very little.
Now I bought Dishonored and I'm trying to install it but there is one problem I can't activate it. Right after I write my keykode I get this message: Sorry, but the following items are not available for purchase in this country. Your purchase has been cancelled. Does this mean that I just wasted my money? Any help is appreciated

I got the same problem, got the game from Amazon.co.uk and i got the same error message.

Depending on where you are, the game is region-locked. If you're in Russia, the CIS, and I think a few other countries, there's a different version published by 1C instead of Bethesda: Dishonored RHCP.

Did you buy it used from amazon uk or from a non amazon reseller?

Did you buy it from a reputable steam reseller?

Actually I bought it from my local shop in my country. Thank god the seller was good and gave me a refund. No more Dishonored for me.
