Why is the steam site half in german and half in english
Every page i go on is half english and half german. The discussion boards are the worst and im not on the german site im on the regular US .com site. Anyone else noticing this?

Maybe you clicked a link leading to the DE page from one of the forums? On the store at least add the country code to ensure that it's not a bug. The regional pages all appear as .com, so that's not your indicator. Just go to http://store.steampowered.com/?cc=us and see what that does.

Wish it was that simple, every time i click Forums from my library the page is in german. If i go to steampowered.com and click on community everything is in german. Really odd


That page seems to be in english, odd tho that links from inside the steam client link me to german pages

Has your client by chance been set to German?

You can check by going to Steam > Settings > Interface. The first drop down should be your language selection.

Alternately, if it's in an external browser, from any profile page, you should see xxxx's account in the top right hand corner when you're logged in. If you click on the drop down there, there's a Choose Language menu. Select English there and see if it fixes your issue.

Im set to english on both my client and on steams web page options. It seems to have corrected itself however, my guess was it was just a glitch on steams end that was quickly fixed

Weird. but at least you're in English again.

I now also found out that language packs for games will download when you change Steam's language setting. My Darksiders decided that it was German until I manually changed the language back (oddly it was the only one that stayed the changed language, everything else went to the default). ;)

Strange, least my issue was just on the store and fourm pages i would have been lost if i loaded a game and it was in italian or something. Thanks for the suggestions btw
