I bought The Sims 3 and The Sims 3 pets but The sims 3 pets is not in my library or on my welcome screen when I play The Sims 3, I need help!!!!

If they've been registered there, it's very strange that the Pets badge and loading screen isn't showing up. Try running through the Origin client (it should technically register that your Steam installation of Sims 3 is installed and just allow the option of play, but if it doesn't, try a discrete install).

It shows both games in "My Games" when I click on them it asks me if I want to download them. Should I download them?

At this point, I'd try. Since both are in your My Games in Origin, this means that they've been registered to your Sims 3 account and should appear when you run through Steam anyway. The fact that the badge isn't showing up when you run in Steam is the weird thing. Since Steam is running Sims 3 through that same account.

Im downloading them, hopefully this will work!! Ive never used any account like this before I was just told it would save me money so I was trying it out but if I cant use it I hope I can get my money back for it?

You can always try. If it were directly on Origin, I'd say yes, but Steam can be sticklers. Since both are appearing on Origin, it should work once you've downloaded them, though.

No worries. I hope it works. I'm re-installing myself to see if there's any steps I missed that would have prevented the game itself from noticing the expansion (I know sometimes you have to log in several times in Sims 3, once in the launcher and then again in-game in order to get certain items to work correctly).

THE SOLUTION!


Hey people. All you have to do is register your cd keys for the game and all the dlcs with ea (http://launcherapi.thesims3.com/home.html) even if you have bought them with steam. You will need to register with Origin but it is free. Then download origin. The Sims 3 along with all your dlcs will appear in origin giving you the opportunity to download them and play from Origin (keep in mind Origin is a bit slow so after registering your cd keys with ea it may take over 12 hours for the games to appear in Origin as was my case). You do not have to buy the game or DLC again!
