Penumbra download error

Everytime I try to download and install Penumbra: Black Plague and the expansion, Requiem, I got a "connection timed out" error. EVERY time. I'd really like to know what's going on, because I bought the game and now I can't play it. I already tried every tip in the support forums.

Still with the damn error, still no response from Steam. I paid for a game that I can't download in any way.

And now, I'll just lost money or what?

Have you tried changing your download region?

This can be done by going to your Steam Settings and then clicking the "Downloads + Cloud" tab.

Had the same error - changing the region should work.

Already tried, several regions, same error.

It seems the problem is in global scale - the forums at Steam web page are full of "can't download Penumbra" complaints... oh well.
