Alternative steam installer?

Help, my windows installer package is messed up. I need an alternative steam installer. What should I do? I tried to re-download the package but it's un-fixable. So what should I do? Sorry for bad grammer im half asleep and pissed.

There are no issues with the windows installer, what errors are you recieving?

My windows installer is corrupted. I'm reinstalling my operating system to windows 8 when it comes out where i live. I tried re-installing it. But i cant since microsoft wont let me, i have the most recent and it doesn't give me the option to repair it. Can you give me an alternative installer?

Ohhhhhh... You have the win8 Beta setup on your PC now?
Wow........You will have to setup a new harddrive with Win7 to get back the functionality you want. Win* is the only OS you will be able to setup on that HD unless you do a complete rewrite of the drive in a DOS. Command interface.

I think you may have went about this issue wrong.................I think your problem is the file you downloaded is messed up. you just need to Re-Download it. The download is what is corrupt not the installer package from windows.

I get you now just redownload the software from steam and delete the one that is messed up. is all you need to do.

Yes I saw you have done that.........But win8 has no issues with games here or in the other sites I assist in. It is your internet connection getting dropped or sending clicks instead of info........Take a look at the games site no one is having this issue... Keep downloading till you get a good copy is all.

No i do not have windows 8 beta, Im using windows xp home edition o.o, i had windows 7 but it was laggy so i installed windows xp (32 bit) a while ago my lil bro deleted a bunch of stuff, and it corrupted my files. I have no way of getting them back. Those files were the windows installer thing.

I have perfect internet connection.... In fact i downloaded this a week ago and it worked just fine. I wanted to install it to my secondary hard drive and i deleted it off my main hard drive. It then said i couldn't run it off that hard drive. So i deleted it, and installed back to the main hard drive. I just want an alternative installer. Its not the steam installer, its the fact i'm having to run the installer with the windows installer. my windows installer is corrupt.

Id buy it again, but it's too close to win8 coming out......................... I really want to play FTL and my other games... I just got FTL the other day. and i've yet to get to play it.
