force a game to run at 60fps
hello you..

i dont know where else to look for help so im trying here.. thou the game i need help on is not a steam game, maybe some of the more technical people here can help me..

i have a game (Tron: Evloution) that runs on 62fps even with vsync on - i also tried adaptive vsyc with no luck.. i tried contacting support for that actual game but all they can tell me is that the the game dev company who made that game is no longer in business and there is no help they can give me..

so yea, anything on nvidia, my control panel, or anything where i can force a game to run at 60fps?

62 fps causes headach inducing screen tears which makes the game unplayable..

any help would be great..

cheers..

p.s.
my pc specs are on my profile - if u need that info..

Turn off Vsync. Vsync on and Adaptive will give you 60fps or whatever your monitor refresh rate is set to. Turn if off to uncap fps and stop screen tearing.

Actually that's a bug in Fraps. It's probably not running at 62 fps. The problem lies somewhere else. Also if you see tearing, then vsync is off, whatever you use in your nvidia control panel. Try forcing it with D3DOverrider.

I've found In most games turning Vsync on causes tearing not off.

d3doverrider worked.. thanks..

i turned off vsync on nvidia cp, and forced vsync with d3doverrider..

no more tears.. and its clocking at 60fps at fraps, so yea..

now if i could just run this game at a true 1920x1080 res, it would look awesome..
