dual-monitor issues in Steam overlay - help needed
I'm running dual-monitor on win7 (2 individual desktops) and my steam overlay behaves weird :/

if I press shift while the overlay is active my taskbar pops up on top of my game (even when in fullscreen, this also means I cannot close overlay using the keyboard without needing to minimize and restore game window to hide the taskbar) and tapping ctrl sends my steam overlay+game to second monitor.

I'm sure this is not caused by any other software, as I tried closing everything else and running steam only. Still, I'm using Actual Multiple Monitors to manage my wallpaper and second taskbar, if that helps. All keyboard bindings are disabled in AMM.

any help appreciated!

I had this same problem which cropped up a few months ago. Every Valve made game had the taskbar appear when using the overlay. Some other games worked just fine and in a few games the overlay just didn't work at all.

I also use dual monitors and Actual Multiple Monitors. I disabled the shortcut keys but that didn't change anything. However I do believe AMM is the culprit. After exiting the application and running some games, the overlay has been working fine.

So try disabling or uninstalling AMM. It might be probable an AMM update is the cause, as I updated AMM several times this year. Reverting to an older version might be a permanent solution.
