Is "Large Address Aware" modding worth it?
I recently discovered that on 64-Bit systems, setting the LAA flag would benefit some game executables (the most commonly cited example is Fallout New Vegas becoming *slightly* more stable). I do have more than 2 GB installed (due to HP's crappy oem ASUS board, I can only ever use 3.5GB at a time, the other 2GB supposedly being "mapped" to the gfx card)

So I'm asking the tech experts on here if they know of any 32-bit games (or general applications, if you can think of any) where enabling LAA makes a difference, and if it's even kosher to do so (since some anti-cheat schemes work in memory and check the exe for modifications)

Very few games would benefit. Mostly those that are heavily modded like Skyrim (which is already LAA aware) would.

Most games are designed to not need LAA due ot the fact that in 32 bit systems that would take up almost all available memory and thus impact the sytem performance anyway.
