Play all your games in Windowed borderless mode.

I realize the old Steam forums are being used less and less, and probably not at all by new users so i figured i'd make a new tread here.

Hey all, i prefer my games to be windowed for alt/tab but i also prefer my games to look full screen, i know there's allot of "scripts" out there for specific games but i figured id write up one app to enable it for all my games.

=====INSTRUCTIONS=====

Adding a game's window.

• Run the app and start up a game.
  
• Make sure you run the game in windowed mode before adding it to the app.
  
• After you have set your game to run windowed, click the app's tray icon and select "Add window"
  
• Go back to your game and while the game window is active press "F3"
  
• Your game should now be in windowed border-less mode, your settings are saved so the app will recognize your game whenever it runs in windowed mode again and automatically set it to be borderless.

Forcing borderless window.
In addition to automatically setting your games borderless you can also trigger this action by pressing F4 while ingame.

Removing a game

• Click the app's tray icon and select "Open game settings"
  
• select the game and press Delete, this app no longer manages that games window style.

Setting a windows position
By default the borderless window is positioned at coordinates 0,0 on your screen, in the rare event that the game's window is an odd one you can edit the coordinates in the config file by changing the "PosX" and "PosY" values in the Game settings.

Attempting to re-size a window
By default the game doesn't re-size, but in case its necessary you can do so in the game settings, which can be found by clicking on the tray icon.
In most cases it is advisable to use your native resolution.

DXWnd instructions
This app detects DXWnd if a DXWnd folder is in the same folder as this app's exe.
You can download my simplified version of DXWnd here[gc-modding.googlecode.com] or get a advanced version maintained by ghotik here[sourceforge.net]
If you downloaded my version just extract the contents to the same directory as WindowedBorderlessGaming.
If you downloaded the other version create a folder called DXWnd 1st and then extract the files there.

* There is now a proper settings menu, so you can edit your game settings and apply them without restarting the game. (The config file is still available for whoever wants to do it manual) Settings are launched as a separate process to not increase need for resources.
* Config file is written more tidy to increase reading/writing actions speed for those who have a huge list of games added to it.
* When selecting "Add window" it will time out after 15 seconds in case you chose the option by accident.

I only get a 403 error telling me I do not have permissions to download it, perhaps an alternate mirror to download it would help, I live in Belgium (central Europe) and normally do not have this problem

Hey, can anyone help me out here? I'm trying to use this with The Witcher 2, but whenever it changes the window from windowed to Windowed Borderless all I get is a black screen.. :/

Hi i just tested it for you, it onky happens when you don't put in your desktops resolution in the apps settings, so click the tray icon open the settings and set your resolution, that should fix your issue.

Would be very nice, but at least in The Witcher EE it shifts the buttons at the bottom of the screen - you need to click like over it to activate it, when the app is running ...

This does exactly what you say, and it is very cool. However I have an issue where on Civ: Beyond Earth.

When I put it in borderless mode via this tool, it then offsets the mouse target by the distance of the border. So to click on things I have to be above the target by the same distance as the top border, which kindsa sucks for any sort of fine control.

Is there a work-around/fix for this issue?

This will probably work, but unfortunately you have to do it every time
