What's the deal with Shadow Warrior coupons?

Out of the blue, I got a 10% off Shadow Warrior coupon on Sunday. An hour ago, I got another 10% off Shadow Warrior coupon.

Why am I getting these? I'm not crafting badges. Hell, I'm not doing anything. These coupons are just showing up in my inventory.

Anyone know?

I think they think you are going to buy the game AND give that coupom to a friend, so your friend can buy too.

I also got two. Gave them both to trashbot.

No (not Valve but ofc they will take a cut). The coupons are from Devolver Digital (SS3 and Shadow Warrior Publisher) . You've been given the coupons because you have Serious Sam 3. Devolver Digital are one of the few good publishers and will offen give coupons away.

Also, its not silly.. If they were stackable you could get the game (a new game at that) for free.

I've got no idea why people complain about free stuff or a way to get something a bit cheaper these days. Ok you don't want them but others will love and use them.

Give them away or just leave them. They will be gone after September 26.

WooHoo....I don't think it has anything to do with my owning SS3 (great game, btw). My son doesn't own any Devolver games and he got the SW coupon on Sunday too.

It's just spamming. I'm not complaining about getting the coupon. I'm complaining about getting the SAME coupon twice within a four day period. It's 2013. It shouldn't be that hard to use some business intelligence and write some logic into the coupon marketing preventing duplication. Send me a 10% coupon for SW and then 10% for SS3 DLC Jewel of the Nile.....that would make much more sense.
