Did you try to reinstall steam?
Thanks :)
Tried everything to no avail:
Reinstall steam
Reinstall windows
Delete appinfo.vdf
Log on as administrator
Changed download location
Tried beta
^^ done all of these maybe 20 times each.
I have Dishonored on retail disc and that is the only thing that has started working when before it gave the same nondescript error. Surely the problem is with steam?
Well, I think the problem is with steam, because there is a lot of threads around the forum about this problem. If I discover something more about this problem I'll put here.
