Forcing or emulating 4:3 aspect ratio on widescreen display
I'm sure anyone playing oldies has problems with them not having widescreen resolution support. This can usually be solved by playing them in a windowed mode. But there are games in which u need to quickly operate with screen borders or can't be forced into windowed mode no matter what.

That's why I'd like to know whete is there any way to manually force or emulate 4:3 aspect ratio on widescreen display in Windows. There are bits and pieces on the webz about such option being present in older versions of display drivers but since AMDs are a huge bunch of knobheads™, this option has been removed for space lizards reasons.
Any ideas?

No, I have the most recent driver and the options are still there :)

Select a 4:3 resolution ingame and select "Maintain aspect ratio" in the display properties section of the driver.

BDK, I thought of this but since I'm playing on notebook, it seems this is not an option

edit: There's an option called Scaling options which 'should' do it, but it is all greyed out..

edit2: setting a lower than native resolution does the trick...thanks for the tips, seems I underestimated AMD again :)
