True Spamming definition

I was "banned" by a moderator for "spamming" for 24 hours. First time ever, and because it was an incorrect ban? I can assure you I won't offer my wisdom or knowledge to Steam's forums again. I merely offered a web site that after downloading this new program (beta), enables one to be able to backup your computer drivers "for free". I do not spam or troll. But please let's examine the truth from Steam's own rules and guidelines.

Abuse or encourage abuse of the Reputation, or Post Reporting Systems
Post personally identifiable information (i.e. name, address, email, phone number, etc.)

Repetitively post in the incorrect forum (example: trade requests belong in trading forum)

"Spam" is sometimes synonymous with a pointless post, off topic post, nonsense post, etc. in addition to the conventional flooding of the forums with repetitive posts.

The Suggestions / Ideas forum is for users to give feedback about steam/valve, Mainly the steam client and it's feature. It is not to be used for such threads as what game should i get next, Use this program because i think its good or any other off topic thread.

It's not for you to give other users links to programs. Also, Thread moved from Suggestions / Ideas to help and tips.
