Steam conflicts with programs
Why does steam conflict with so many other programs? I play various games, some -gasps- don't utilize steam, but rather other programs. Game launchers / updaters for instance seen in nearly every MMO. I'm always having to msconfig my way back into steam. Troubleshooting what programs are conflicting, just so [steam will start in the foreground] I can casually play 30min of DOTA2 every now & again. Thank god I don't have a large library of games here. Having to jump through hoops constantly would really f***ing suck.

Could you give some examples of programs/games which interfere with Steam? I've heard that a large amount of F2P titles have conflicts with it due to the steam in-game over-lay.

All of the other programs / games startup & work fine without any conflict. Steam's the only program that has problems. It's not just with game launchers, steam also has problems with a good majority of the ASUS utilities I have and like to use.

The latest conflict though was from "NCSoft update helper".
