Comment History

Is it possible to delete/clear/update comment history?
I have a habit of deleting posts awhile after they've 'served their purpose'.
If I think they could informative I would leave them but really how much
is actually useful? I consider it housecleaning.

But 'comment history' continues to display all comments. Why on earth retain
a deleted comment?

Currently, it's not possible to hide stuff from the comment history. What you see when clicking on the link is what you get. There are many reasons for keeping deleted content, most of which are for moderation purposes.

Furthermore, do not post the same thread 4 times, like you did with this one.

Hi guys, about the comment history, where do you view all of them? There's only 9 pages worth of history for me. Don't the oldest ones simply get replaced at one point or another? Depending on the (amount of) forums you are subscribed to, this happens on a daily basis!

Ok, hope their gonna change that one day, most of my comments i delete are add me comments which i delete every time someone adds me, but my list is full of those which is annoying to see

Ah, I think I know what you mean now. If you want them gone asap, all you need to do is comment more. There's only 9 pages worth of history. My oldest one is about this game called Darkspore, but I am sure I posted other stuff before that too. It seems that every new comment I make will replace the oldest comment.

"My Comment History" is found on your Activity page, and it shows all your comments everywhere. What you're looking at that shows 9 pages is just the posts you've made to the Steam Forums discussions.
