Added funds through Paypal - Waiting time??

I added funds to my steam wallet for the first time with paypal. Now when i want to buy TF2 keys off the market I get this error:

You are not allowed to purchase this listing. The Community Market might be temporarily disabled or your account might be restricted from using the Community Market.

Then I checked my E-mails and in one of the receipts it says:

These funds are available for immediate use on the Steam Store. There may be a clearance period before these funds are usable in other Steam features.

Does this mean there is a waiting time before i can buy things again?? I always used Paysafecards before and I always could use them immediately, also for the community market.
Why doesn't it say anything about waiting times before I add funds?
Why can't I find any information about how long I have to wait in my account details?
Why doesn't it clearly say that I am currently in a waiting time period?

HOW LONG is this waiting time???

I wanted to trade for a steam game with those keys to play it today. Would have been better if I just waited until tomorrow and bought paysafecards again instead of getting into this waiting time ♥♥♥♥.

Last week I saw a similar question here. If I remember correctly, the funds are immediately available for game purchases etc. The Marketplace, however, got a waiting time. Incredible as it may seem, this waiting time is 1 week.

I wholeheartedly agree with the points you raised; there should be more info regarding this -long-cooldown period. This is all very frustrating...

Wow, thats ♥♥♥♥, really. I will never use anything else than paysafecards again.

The worst thing is that they don't even display an easy-to-spot message that says something about waiting times before paying money. Even better is, that I can't find any information about how much waiting time is left.
It's really embarassing for Valve to have such a bad system like this. The customer gets no information at all.

If any Valve employee reads this:

INFORM YOUR CUSTOMERS ABOUT THAT THEIR MONEY GETS LOCKED AFTER ADDING FUNDS TO THEIR STEAM WALLET.

I think Im going to write an email to valve. That's at least something I can do in THE NEXT WHOLE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WEAK FOR ♥♥♥♥♥ SAKE.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do to change this. All you can do is wait.

Steam really should have an option to automatically unlock the wallet when you add funds. A quick email verification would be ideal. Some people add funds wanting to participate in sales, but with a 1 week wait, they might not make it for those sales.

Same crap just happened to me. I added some funds to my wallet, and even used some of it to buy a quick birthday gift, but when I tried to buy...I think it was a 19 cent steam card, it said I had no access. It's like steam wanted to wish me a happy holiday while wiggling snowglobe and warframe game item skins in my face before mooning me and saying "Hahaha! We got your money AND you can't get any of theeeeese!"

The best part is how this is somehow to prevent fraud. Should my account be compromised, or were I to be a person using a stolen card....there is no measure to stop from gifting hundreds of dollars worth of games to another account. Restricting the market seems completely arbitrary and pointless in terms of fraud. What's the average item price on the market? $1.50?

you dont have to wait a week you have to wait till the payment is verified. but to be honest steam suport are ♥♥♥♥ so it will probably take a week for them to verifiy it.
i have this aswell it feels like i will never to buy a knife for cs go. :(

paypal should be the one to restrict it if you think about it

next time i will buy what i need from a third party website
