Game suddenly appeared in Library
Out of no where Chivalry suddenly showed up in my inventory under a category named "NOGINRIOSENGEIS'S GAMES". The game is not owned as when I click on it instead of saying Play or Install it says Purchase. I also posted this in the Chivalry discussions.

I guess someone who have this game using their own steam account installed it on your computer.

That is not possible.

Did you log in to your account on NOGINRIOSENGEIS's computer that has steam on it. It is normal for games that you don't own to show up because the game files for that game exists on the system. Because you don't own the game on your account, you are given the Purchase option, but NOGINRIOSENGEIS have the game and it is installed on the computer that you are playing on.

I have two accounts and when I login to one with small amount of games, many games will show up in it's library but can not play it unless I purchase them or login to the other account which owns those games.

This is very common with multi-user computers and is a great point of steam. You share the same game files but whether you can play it or not depends if you have purchased the game on your account. If you did not purchase, you miss out until you purchase. If you purchase it, then because the gamefiles are already there, you can instantly start playing.

Yeah, I have "Spiral Knights" and "Serious Sam Second Encounter" suddenly showing on my game's Library list, but I never bought them. Reading some confusing posts in a couple of fourms, appearanlty if you own certain other games or DLC, for certain titles, that you are automatically given DLCs for those other games, even if you never bought them, therefore the games will show in your Library, but you may still have to buy those base game to play it? All seems quite confusing to me, or a very shrewd marketing ploy. For now, I just dumped those extra games into my "Not Installed" custom folder I made.

Check your Steam\SteamApps\common folder, if you have Chivalry there, then someone installed it on your pc.

So you don't know NOGINRIOSENGEIS? Your brother? Your sister? Your mum or dad? Your friends? Could be one of them.

NOGINRIOSENGEIS is not the community profile name. It is the Steam ACCOUNT name. Remember your community name is dfiferent from the steam account name you use to log in to steam. I know because I logged in to my other account and games from my main account shows up as my account username and not "robo8181's games".

Same thing just happened to me. Nobody else uses this computer or my steam account. I just suddenly have Chivalry downloaded but not purchased. I have no idea how my computer could've downloaded this over night without my, or Steam's, permission.

Did you participate in the recent free weekend? My guess is that you (and me) had downloaded Chivalry then did not uninstall by the end of the weekend, thus leaving it installed but not in the library. But why is it suddenly showing up now?
