Is it possible to play steam games in an online browser?
My school doesn't allow limited users to download anything from the internet (in this case, steam) and I was wondering if it is possible to play in a web browser??

Steam games are like any other retail PC/Windows games, they require installing to local storage.

They are not Flash or Streaming games like u find on browser sites; such as Pogo for example.

Besides, playing games on a school computer; haha WHAT?!

It might, at some point in the future, be possible to do that. For reasons that I can't really understand, people are working on browser plugins for "proper" 3D graphics, and I think there's even a "unity engine" for 3D games that run in browsers.

Should these things become more common, Steam MIGHT decide to include such games as part of their "Steam Play", which would basically be another platform that could be offered by a game in addition to Windows, MacOS and Linux. It would NOT be available for every game, of course -- just the ones that are avaialble in a "browser edition".

Nonetheless, as of September 2013, there is no such thing on Steam :-)
