Any good free FPS on steam

Hey im looking for a good FPS for steam. Im tired of the COD, BF kinda fps's so im looking for some cool new ones. Any FPS that is cool, face paced, free , no lag kinda of game. (CS, TF2 are out of my list.) Thanks

Team Fortress 2 is all you should need. I have almost 250 games I still play TF2 the most.

There's some free games like PlanetSide 2 and Blacklight: Retribution. THere's also Tribes: Ascend.

If you have Half-Life 2, try Insurgency. Very good and free addon for HL2.

CounterStrike: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, CounterStrike: Global Offensive, Team Fortress 2; are some very popular FPS games.

Crysis 1 & 2 are also on Steam. Fairly decent FPS with mod potential.


These are also decent, but u might not like for obvious reasons. Overall they are good for being free, and can be downloaded and used without any game client.

All of the ones you listed with the exception of TF2 are not free. OP asked for free shooters.
