Steam is asking for a 'friendly name' when i log in on another computer
I'm a new steam user, 0 Friends just made a fresh account, I was trying to log into my account and it is asking for a Special Code given via email (which i have) and also a friendly name.

"To easily recognize this browser among the list of devices Steam Guard has enabled, give the browser a friendly name - at least 6 characters long."

Is it simply asking for a name for the pc browser (on that pc) so i can use it instead of the code via email each time?

The friendly name is used if you log in with a foreign computer with Steam Guard on - the next time you log in with a previously known computer, it displays a message with the location, IP address and "freindly name" of the last computer(s) that were logged in.

The friendly name you give it should be something like your name and computer, e.g. john-house-computer or something along those lines.

It's just so when you review your Steam Guard activated machines that you'll know which system is which, if you're playing Steam from more than one computer. Type in abc123 and the email code they send and you should be golden.
