Can't open links from Steam through Google Chrome!

Hello people!

I have a problem with links through Steam at this time!

My Standardbrowser is Google Chrome.

Example: A friend would send me a link through a Steamchat. when I'm not in-game, it should open the Google Chrome browser, and show it like I had opened the browser myself, and entered the link. But instead, it goes all grey and blank where website content should've been, and only the bar with the link in the top remains normal. + after clicking the link directly from the Steamchat, I will have to wait around 10 seconds, before I can manually open a browser again.

A message also comes up in the bottom right cornor where it says that my Antivirus has been disabled.

This is very annoying because I have to open a browser myself and then copy/paste the link into the bar at the top to look at it!

I would be very thankful, if you could please help me!

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. But its still sad. Hope someone is going to help us, and please tell me if you find a solution!

Reinstalling Chrome, switching default browsers and opting in and out of Steam beta all do nothing. I figure reinstalling Steam is worth a shot, but I suspect all my installed games would get wiped off the hard drive if I did that, so looks like things are going to get tedious if this crappy glitch is going to get fixed.
