New account, how do I add a game?

I bought a game on Amazon, and it says to "Log into your Steam account on the Steam client
In the lower left corner, click “Add A Game...” The lower left corner of what?

Your STEAM client should have a link at the lower left hand corner with a + symbol next to the ADD A GAME...

This will take you to a menu selection, allowing you to select Activate a Product on Steam, just click on this option.

You need to download and install Steam, then you follow the instructions you already have.

You need to install the Steam client software. If you haven't already done that, go here and find one of those big, friendly green buttons that say "Install Steam" (no, they aren't red "Don't Panic" buttons. That's completely different. Still, don't panic).

When done, start the Steam client and log in. Click on "Library", and the lower left corner of that window should have the "Add Game" button. It's not big or nice or friendly, but it's there.
