"Don't save account credentials on this computer" is unchecked, but I still have to put in my password everytime?

So I have to put in my password everytime I boot up steam, and I was looking to change that under settings when I noticed that the box that says "don't save account credentials on this computer" was already unchecked. So, what's my problem here? The box is unchecked, but I still have to put in my password everytime.

Can somebody help me? I might not have internet for a few days, and if I can't figure this out, I won't be able to play any steam games.

Ok, I clicked on remember password when I logged in this time, and now it auto-logs me in when I boot up Steam, but for security purposes, how do I re-enable steam asking for a password? Also, my url bar suddenly vanished. How do I get it back?
