GTA: SA Multiplayer

I jsut bought GTA: San ANdreas and want to play multiplayer but when i go to the location that it's supposed to be in ("common" folder) it doesnt have the gta folder.

I thought SA:MP needs GTA SA v1.0, the version on Steam is v3.0 which presumably isn't downgradable even.

Also, you've surely downloaded GTA SA from Steam? Verified Integrity? (Library -> GTA SA -> [RMB] -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Cache)

The game should be under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\grand theft auto san andreas\

You can find GTA:SA files "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common"
How ever you wont be able to use SA:MP ,because SA:MP require older version of GTA:SA
you would need to downgrade to older version to use multiplayer

Yeah I understnad that it should be in "common" but when I go to "common" there is no GTA folder

Just out of curiousity, when you open your Steam Library on your client, right mouse click Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Choose Properties -> [Local Files] -> [Browse local files]. What folder does it open up for you, if any?

If none, can you try to, under the same tab, press [Verify Integrity of Game Cache] ?
