How to delete a unpublished collection?
Almost a year ago I tried making something on steam workshop for Civilization V but did not know what to do. In the end I just gave up but noticed yesterday that I still have the collection with nothing in it and it is unpublished. Is there anyway to delete it?

i made a collection so i could just click subscribe all for my mods when i finish this clean install and i accidently made a blank unpublished came here looking for the answer and saw none, but i figured it out.
go through the whole proccess to get the collection published then once its done on the overview page of it, down the side it has an option to delete along with who can see it and all

A easy way is to add one item then finish without publishing and then scroll down and delete it. Simple as that :]

All you have to do to delete a Collection is go on your Profile, then go too "Workshop Items", scroll down until you find "Subscribed Items", then click "Collections" on the top bar, then click on your collection, then go down and click delete. :)

I am sorry for not informing on that step, just simply choose any random addon and then click "Save and Continue". You will be on another page where if you scroll down you can find a "Delete" text/button on the right side, then you can delete it.

How to Delete Incomplete or Unpublished Workshop Collections
  1. Navigate to your User profile (Profile page)
  2. Scroll down or look for "Workshop Items" which should be on the right side of your profile and click on it
  3. Look up at the top bar of the page, there should be a text/button saying "Collections" and click on it or you can click on "Subscribed Items" and then click on "Collections" on the top bar
  4. You should be able to now see the collection you didn't complete or publish, click on it
  5. If you did not pick an addon yet just choose something random and then click "Save and Continue" near the bottom right corner of the page, you may need to scroll down
  6. You should be on the final page for publishing if you did Step 5 or already did it previously awhile ago. Look on the right side of the page (you may need to scroll down), you should see a "Delete" text/button. Click it and there you go
  7. You now have deleted an incomplete or unpublished workshop collection

yo did you find a fix for this, my dude?

It's actually quite simple to delete a collection, it's just quite hidden... I don't know about the strange solutions above, they weren't quite right for me, so here is how you can do it:

- Go to your Library
- On the left side right below the navigation bar you should see a house where it says Start Page next to it
- Right from that, there is aq little button for Collections, showing four little squares
- Find your collection, right-click on it and choose Delete Collection

Great solution and explanation, thank you moehrphy!

Yes: #1 game on Steam is to figure out how their UI/UX actually does (NOT) work! Best I suppose they're too busy counting our bills in theitr jacuzzi! :-D
