RPG Maker VX Ace: Computer lock-up/freezing

Good day to anyone willing to help me with this problem!
I have recently purchased and installed RPG Maker VX Ace and am loving it so far. There is only one problem that I am having with it at the moment. Every now and then while I am working on one of my projects, the entire program will freeze, and seconds later, my system along with it. None of the computer's interfaces will respond and I'm forced to reboot. This is naturally a problem and extremely annoying, as I can work for around fifteen minutes to an hour before it freezes: and trust me, it freezes every time. I have seen a couple other "dead" threads on this topic about turning off steam overlay and having no adjacent programs running at the same time. I've tried all that, I still get the same problem. I've tried running it as administrator and under compatability: still the same problem.
If anyone has a resolution to this problem, or can point me in a direction where an answer already exists, that would be greatly appreciated!

I have that problem too sometimes. It is pretty rare, but happens. If anybody has a solution, I'll appreciate it too.

How much ram, do you have on your computer?

I have 8 Gigs of usable RAM myself. Is it possible that there is some sort of limiter on the program, which tells my computer to use but a fraction of the available RAM?
(Something that I found which sort-of works, although is extremely annoying, is that one can save and quit the program every 10-15 minutes, then restart it. So far, that has gotten rid of the freezing, although I always need to have a timer nearby, and it ruins my train-of-thought. It is definately not a long-term fix!)
