Opening ports to play counter strike: source
Bought a new wireless router and now I cant play counter strike: source. I am kicked from any server after only 30 seconds. Other games run off of steam such as team fortress 2 work fine online. I called router support and they said I need to find out which ports to open for counter strike from Steam. I have a ticket that is going unanswered for several days now asking that question. Can anyone on here direct me to this info so I can stop going through CS withdrawals? and if anyone from STEAM reads this... GET SOME PHONE SUPPORT!!! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR YOUR EXCUSES!!! This lack of response is very unprofessional!! The ticket system would be great if you guys ANSWERED them!! (NERD RAGING)

Have you searched the internet for info? Here's one link that may help...

You should not normally need to forward ports to play CSS. The only reason you would normaly need to forward ports is if you plan on running a server. Have you tried messing with UPnP settings?

Problem solved. Steam was in offline mode. Turned it to online and I no longer get kicked from CS:S. It threw me off that all the other games worked ok online even with steam being in offline mode. Whatever. Thanks for the help fellas!!:)
