steam will only reply you days later, i just had my account recovered by my backpack items are all gone worth ard a 100dollars.

steam took a week to reply regarding my hijacked account. all my items in my dota2 backpack are gone and not returned. it's devasatating, i just file another ticket. i hope some form of compensation is avail.

Did you recently go to a website someone posted in a chat somewhere or on a forum, or to a "free Steam games/keys" site, or tell someone your Steam login/password, or login with your Steam username/password somewhere that was not Steam, or surf dubiously safe areas of the internet, or leave anyone alone with your machine for a while?

if it's the first time they'll usually recover the items. First thing is reacquiring the account though, only after that's done can you make a new ticket for Steam support to request your items back.

As for the OP, it sounds like he got phished. Probably followed a fake dota2lounge link or something like that.
