Sacred 2 Gold Issue

I just recently bought, downloaded and installed Sacred 2 Gold edition, which I tried to start up only to find it wouldn't.
At first it was running initial set up stuff, I don't know for what, then it just stopped.
I tried to re-open it and the box which said 'initial set up' flashed for just a second and then it was gone. So I tried it again and then I got an error message saying missing executable.
So then I tried running Sacred2.exe from the program folder itself, and I got an error message saying, game could not run, orcSystem.dll not found.
I've tried uninstalling it and re-installing it, but the same problem persisted. I'm now in progress of redownloading it for the third time.
Anything you guys know that might help?

have you been abe to get this loaded? I want to play this game. I had it a while ago and habve lost the discs.
