Big Picture Mode Problems

Two days ago I was able to take screenshots with my xbox controller (home button + RT) while playing games in big picture mode but recently due to a update with steam it just will not work anymore. I'm wondering if this issue is just on my end or not. Also just hitting the home button on the controller isn't bringing up the steam overlay in big picture mode anymore.

Issue still persisting for me. The weird thing is, every blue moon my analog sticks WILL work. I have some weird feeling that it's also causing strange things to happen in-game, e.g. sometimes the controller will turn off, and when I turn it back on it won't work in the game. I'll have to turn it off and on again. Didn't used to do that before!

same here, had the sticks work one time, then nothing again.

I'm experiencing the same issue. Guide button no longer starts BP and the analog sticks don't work in BP UI.

Same problem as everyone here. Hope they'll fix it soon, using BP without home button and analogs is quite annoying!

For some reason I lose the use of my left analog stick to navigate the menus, I can only use the D-pad to move.

Yep, i lost functionality of my left analog stick aswell as the home button while in BP

I just wanted to chime in, I'm also having the exact same problem. I've tried with both my wireless and wired Xbox 360 controller, on Windows 8 Pro x64

Same problem wirless Xbox360 controller, Ticket and .... after 4 days STEAM SUPPORT:

"Steam Support cannot provide information on configuring controllers to work with Big Picture mode.

However, several XInput compatible controllers have been tested to work with Big Picture. Currently, Big Picture supports the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows, the Xbox 360 Wired Controller, and the Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710.

On the Mac, a third-party driver must be used to enable the Xbox 360 controller. A driver is available from TattieBogle.net.

Probably if I wrote Microsoft he would be able to solve their problem.
