Turtle Beach x12s not working with steam???
i have had this headset for less then 24 hours and it just wont work with steam. it works with fraps, bandicam and origin. i configured it to my computer, disabled all microphones exept the turtle beachs, ive turn the mic boost all the way up in start-controll pannel-mic and sound- sound recording-properties. i have been trying to fix this for around 4 to 5 hours and no luck. any help would be really appretiated. (i can talk in voice chat and they see my levels moving but they dont hear me.)

Turtle Beach x12 are my backup pair of headphones and i can confirm they do work fine on steam, you obviously dont need the xbox chat cable or anything, just try and set it up as normal. Sound options in the control panel and in steam then make sure you set both headphones and recording tabs to the x12's and select primary device or default device.

In the windows control panel, sound options. Sound- Make sure your headphones are the "default device". Then in the next tab. Recording do the same. Make sure its the default device.

Once you check that in the steam options. steam/view/settings/voice.. Do the same here and then click test.
