Whats the best half-life game?

I oraginaly got the orange box for portal....i thought half-life dint look that good....intil i accualy played it lol.then i fell in love with the game so...now im stuck witha question..... should i buy the 1st one?(half-life 1 arnothy pack)

HalfLife 1 is a great game but I think most people will be put off by the graphics nowadays.
Black Mesa Source has done an amazing job converting the whole game to the source engine. I'd just save the money and try that first :)

It's been 10 years since I last played HL1 so I can't really tell you.
Blue Shift is HL1 from the perspective of Barney. (you meet him early on in HL1 story)

i heared that HL1 is pretty boring and lack of storry at the start....
but i has the most toys (guns) but i heared the worst game is hl2 episode 1.... i dont like the 1st level with the pistol at HL2 it starts getting fun at ravenholm (i like the story thought out HL2 though)

Half-Life: Blue Shift (Shortest and most boring of the games)
