This has been happening to me since the summer sale, and is still happening now. Support got back to me telling me to delete some steam files and try using a different browser. Both are not working. I cant buy games or add steam wallet funds. I have even tried using my laptop and my PC, and my laptop at my work's IP still doesnt work and gets the same message. I wait 24 hours, try again, same error, wait 3 days, same error. Whatever I do it doesnt matter. I have been buying games almost 10 years with no issues. Just very frustrating as I AM TRYING TO GIVE YOU MONEY!! just shutup with your error and take my money. Is this still happening to anyone else?

Yeah, I can add funds to my account, but I can't buy a single thing. Seriously Valve, fix your ♥♥♥♥.

I submitted a ticket; I spent near 500 during steam sales... but I informed my bank to never mess with any steam powered games or new egg, they said steam powered games was on a "list" but .... heck - I told them - it doesn't have the "funds may be held" message - I am attempting to buy 4 copies of ROTT for the rematch of 18 years for Fatal1ty, Valdez, Image-Omega, and Strychzhilla

I have been having trouble buying as a gift. Getting the same error. I can buy for myself however. This has been happening since the steam sale.

I JUST saw when i clicked my steam wallet amount; that I had to input TAX INFORMATION due to buying over 200 market items o.O O.o --- check to see if you see this - Inputted all the info; tried to repurchase and nothing yet - but .... I think that may be the isuse.

Still happening for both adding funds to wallet, purchasing as a gift, or even purchasing for myself. I missed the sale on the Darksiders DLC on the weekend due to this error. Do you think they will honor sale prices once they have this issue fixed?

i hade that same ERR as well when getting portal 2, but the thing is the game was in my library after, and my money has been taken but i havnt gotten a steam email telling me that i have purchased the game.

Hey, I was able to fix this eventually very easily - just close steam, right click and run as administrator. Worked after that, in a browser too for some reason, hope this helps
