How is "Avg. Game Completion Rate" calculated?
In the "Achievement Showcase" there is an average Game Completion rate. Anyone knows how is this calculated? For example... do never-installed\played games count?

The target number is positive, the completion rate = complete number / the number of target *100%.The target number is negative, to see the completed the number of positive and negative: (1) to complete the number of positive completion rate = (the number of target - complete number) / the number of target *100% (2) completed the number is zero or negative and its absolute value is less than or equal to the absolute value of the number of targets, target completion rate of N + (target number - complete number) / the number of target *100% (3) completed the number is negative and the absolute value of the absolute value is greater than the number of targets, formula with opposite number 1
How can the target number be negative? Are there games with -N achievement to get?
The avg. completion rate is calculated by the number of achievements you earned in a game. Ex. Earning 5 out of 10 achievements in a game would translate to a completion rate of 50%.

I'm pretty sure that never played/installed games do not count towards this percentage. Can anyone oconfirm?

Perfect. But how the average AMONG games is calculated? Example:
  • Game 1: 7 achievements out of 21: 33,3%
  • Game 2: 12 achievements ouf of 101: 11,9%
  • Game 1 + Game 2: 19 achievements out of 122: 15,6%
But the average between the singular game value is different [(33,3 + 11,9) / 2] = 22,6%.

Just curious if anyone got an official source tho, not a vital information. :clover:

So the more game you have, the harder it is to get an high %?

Not like game have to get 100% of the achievement to finish it 100% some game aren't finished even if you get allt the achievements. for it!
From what I can work out with mine, it's just the average completion of all games played with achievements. Games you haven't played do not count.
If you have earned 200/400 in one game and 5/10 in another, your average completion rate is 50%.

Ok but 5/10 = 50% and 200/400 = 50% and 205/410 is 50% and (50% + 50%) / 2 id still 50%.
What in the case of a more specific case?
  • Game 1: 7/2121: 33,3%
  • Game 2: 12/101: 11,9%
  • Game 1 + Game 2: 19/122: 15,6%

Where are you getting this "specific case"?

Nowhere mate who cares. I'm just creating an example case where you don't get the same % if you calculate it by TOTAL gotten achievements over TOTAL games achievements (19/122, 15,6%) and if you calculate it by AVERAGE of percentage among games (22,6%).

And I'm doing this because I'd like to know which one of the two is the correct, displayed-in-the-showcase one.

My English is not good but it seems to me this is quite clear. Please let me know if it is not.

Mathematically total/total will be correct
I'm fairly sure it works it out on the average completion % for all played games, not the total achievements.
In theory if you have 400/400 in one game and 2/8 in another, your average completion would be 50%.
The majority of my achievements are in TF2, but I can still push my completion % up just from playing games with only a few achievements.

LOL. Anyone with a very SMALL amount of games played to confirm one theory or the other? :HangingController:

Everyone I know with only a few games doesn't have the level requirement to display the necessary showcase.
