Judging by your post history, around May, you were actively testing "World of Guns". Maybe you were rewarded for that?

I'm not affiliated with any dev team either... the closest I've ever been to a tester was doing beta testing for World of Guns, but to get access to the beta we just had to email the devs with our steam name, and the beta only lasted about a week. I feel as though it may possibly be a bug.
EDIT: Just noticed your edit now, that may be the reason, although it seems weird to be rewarded something that's somewhat exclusive just for participating in a beta. It's not a big deal of course, it just seems weird to me that's all :)

Some other non-dev accounts posting in that forum have the badge as well. Likely the source is that testing involvement.
Yup, I just looked through a beta thread myself and noticed that, it still seems strange to me, but at least now I know where it came from :)
As tempting as it is to make the dev badge a featured badge on my profile, this is the reason I'm not doing it - I don't want people thinking I'm something that I'm not xD
Your profile's private, so people wouldn't see it anyway :)
The featured badge is the one that's seen when you hover over someone's username, isn't it? As well as the user's Steam level. Or does that box not pop-up for private profiles?
Private profiles do not have a detailed box, it says you're "Level 0" instead of the detailed information.
Ahh, well that clears that up :) Thanks guys!!
