APB reloaded not launching

I just updated, installed for the first time and even after restarting my computer I get an error every time I try to launch the game. the launcher loads just fine, but I get a windows error after i hit launch saying APB reloaded has stopped working, a problem cause the program to stop working windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available, of course a solution is not available, but I'm wondering if anybody knows how to get this thing working, the launcher updated the program and everything properly and checks for updates, but wont start the game from steam or my desktop.

to add info, I have done a "repair" on the game, still same issue.

any help would be appreciated, I have uninstalled and reinstalled, repaired, as well as restarted teh computer, not sure why or what would cause this to fail upon trying to launch.

I haven't installed APB with Steam so I can't really suggest a fix but what I will say is try getting it from http://www.gamersfirst.com/apb/
When you have it you can still click "Login with Steam" when you're on the login menu and it will connect everything with your steam just like usual. Auto login + Steam overlay all works so you don't really miss out on anything.
But I can't guarentee it will fix it :/
