Can I use a Visa Gift Card to add funds/buy games?

I think you can. i've bought games with Vanilla Visas and American Express gift cards before. However if it is a Vanilla Visa you may have to register it before makeing a purchase https://www.vanillavisa.com/home.html?product=giftcard

You can for sure. Buuuuut, they will lock you out of the Market for 7 days when you do it (until "funds are verified").

I used Mastercard gift cards with no problem. Just have to register the card.

Yes you can. Ive use plenty of them b4 steam came out with pre paid cards.

Yes, you can. However, if you're going to do this on a regular basis, you're really better of getting a credit card or using paypal because the charges on prepaid credit cards can get pretty stupid, and can be pretty finicky to use at times.
